Beyond AI hype: the future of professional work
AI is changing how people work, how expertise is valued, and how institutions prepare for the future.
I speak and write about the human side of AI adoption helping professionals and organisations understand what is changing, what matters, and how to respond with confidence.
My work is grounded in research operations, knowledge-intensive environments, and a practical belief that AI adoption must strengthen human judgement, not replace it.

AIRON: Building Responsible AI Capability in Research Operations
Alongside my speaking and writing, I founded AIRON — the AI in Research Operations Network.
AIRON is a global community and AI capability-building network for research-supporting professionals and research-supporting organisations.
We bring together people, institutions, groups, and initiatives across the research ecosystem to help develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, and practical approaches needed to adopt artificial intelligence responsibly and effectively in research operations.
AIRON’s work is rooted in community, collaboration, and the belief that meaningful and ethical AI adoption must be shaped by the people closest to the work.
While my personal work focuses on helping people understand how AI is changing expertise, institutions, and professional work, AIRON helps the research operations community build the capability to respond in practice.
